The Stone Owl

I was commissioned to create a belated birthday gift, after a meeting or two with Jon and Sandra the design of an Owl looking out from the garden came together. Jon and Sandra had a good idea where the Owl would be located. the design progressed and the Owl needed to stand a few feet from the floor to be clear of vegetation. The Owl was now going to be sat upon a podium and to utilise the extra stone the decision to pose the bird with its wing out-stretched came to being. I loved being able to add the extra detail to the otherwise sleek and elegant creature. Installation of the piece was a bit tricky as the stone needed to be transported manually through a small entrance and the only access into the garden.
