About

I have lived in North Northumberland all my life and this is where I find the inspiration for my work.

At High School I enjoyed art, in particular creating three dimensional pieces. I attended Newcastle College after Sixth Form where my love of creating grew. I decided to buy a set of stone chisels and started producing my own unique sculptures.

Over the last couple of years I have taught myself the traditional techniques of stone carving. My pieces reflect the ancient landscape of Northumberland; the people who have lived here and the creatures that inhabit the land.

I have recently taken up the craft of chainsaw carving. I am inspired by the new challenges that come with the wood, the increased size of the pieces and the physicality of the carving.
